3) Binding Options

Saddle Stitch Binding

Saddle Stitch Binding

This is a popular bookbinding method in which the folded sheets of papers are nested one inside the other in the required order and then stapled along the folded crease with wire staples. The folded crease forms the book’s spine and each folded sheet creates four pages of the book. After stapling, the pages and the cover are then folded tighter together to compact the book, and then the open edges are trimmed as needed to keep the pages uniform and neat in appearance. Since the staples can only accommodate a given number of sheets of a certain thickness, we offer saddle stitch binding for up to 64 pages. However, if the paper is very thin, we can increase up to 100 pages.

Perfect binding

Perfect binding is also the common and popular method of binding low, medium, and high pages books. It’s most suitable for soft cover books and also when the document is too thick to be saddle-stitched or stapled, for example, when the pages are more than 40. In the perfect binding process, the cover and the pages of the document are glued together at the spline and then the edges are “perfectly” trimmed to give the book its sharp and even edges. One benefit of perfect binding is that the title information can be printed on the spline, making the book stand out on the shelf.

The final book is normally lightweight, flexible, and sleek, and is a popular choice for both fiction and non-fiction books.
